Frequently Asked Questions

The content and quality of the ORSC Fundamentals are exactly the same as the ORS@Work course. The only difference lies in the scenarios you practice with during the training. For example, when coaching in a conflict situation, the ORSC approach is exactly the same whether it is a personal or work-based conflict. With ORS@Work the scenarios are purely focused on work-related issues; with ORSC Fundamentals the scenarios can be work-related or more general relationship-based scenarios. If you choose to follow ORSC Fundamentals, you can still decide to use work-based scenarios during the training. 

There is no obligatory literature list during this training but if you would like more background we can recommend the following books: 1) Systems Inspired Leadership (Marita Fridjhon and Frank Uit de Weerd) 2) Creating Intelligent Teams (Dr Anne Rød and Marita Fridjhon). 

Jungian scholars might call the third entity a collective consciousness, business consultants refer to corporate culture and therapists address family system dynamics. The Third Entity is that which lives outside the individuals in a particular relationship system whether a work team, family, or couple. Still confused? John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr were individuals. The Beatles is their Third Entity™. 

ORSC training is offered in English and Dutch (Fundamentals) 

You may only miss 1 hour of each of the 5 modules. 

For Fundamentals and Intermediate the study time investment is the training itself plus one coaching conversation with a system during the modules in one of the evenings after the training day. There is no homework in between the modules. There is no mandatory reading material outwith the training days. We do advise you to apply the skills you have learned in between modules as much as possible as this greatly helps your growth as an ORSC coach. 

The only preparation necessary for ORSC Fundamentals is to schedule in two 'clients' from your network who have a relationship with each other (for example 2 colleagues/siblings/partners). The coaching-conversation takes place after the training on the 1st day. This gives you the opportunity to immediately practice what you have learned. The conversation should take about 30 to 60 minutes and can be done either face-to-face, by phone or online. The content of the coaching-conversation stays private between you and your clients. The next day you will discuss in small groups your experience of the coaching conversation. 

The 10% combi-discount is only valid if you register for both Fundamentals and Intermediate before the Fundamentals start date. However, we do offer a satisfaction guarantee: Should the Fundamentals not turn out as you expected and you do not want to continue with Intermediate afterwards, please send us an email explaining why within 7 days of the end of the Fundamentals. We will then cancel your Intermediate and refund your Intermediate payment. 

You can make one swap free of charge (up to two modules) to another cohort as long as this is requested at least 2 weeks prior to the start date of your original course module. Bear in mind the modules need to be taken in the order Intelligence-Geography-Path-Systems Integration. Please email info@competence.org to explore the possibilities. 

Separate invoices for Fundamentals and Intermediate will be sent from Competence. The ORSC Certification program is run by the License holder CRR in the US. You will therefore receive a separate invoice for your certification from CRR. 

Every CRR trainer has completed the Fundamentals, Intermediate and ORSC Professional Certification Program. Once the rigorous application and audition process has been completed, a 6-month series of advanced coaching and a leadership practicum must also have been passed, while maintaining an active coaching practice.

ORSC certification is organised by CRR Global. 

ORSC Fundamentals and Intermediate are ICF accredited. Students who complete the entire five course ORSC training series from Fundamentals through Systems Integration earn 84 ICF training hours (CCE units); 12 for ORSC Fundamentals & 18 for each Intermediate module.
